Firoz Mahmud/フィロズ・マハムド

Born in Khulna, Blangladesh (b.1974). Actualy work and living in New York. The artist is graduated from University of Dhaka. In 2003 lives in Amsterdan to attend the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten research program. Later live in Tokyo for 9 years when graduated from Tama Art University (Master course, 2007) and Tokyo Univertsity of the Arts (PhD course, 2011). In 2011 receive the ACC fellowship and went to ISCP, New York (International Studio and Curatorial Program. Exhibitions include 11th Cairo Biennial (2008), Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial (2006, 2009), Aichi Triennial (2010), among others. With an extensive international artistic career, the artist is represented in Japan by Ota Fine Arts.

1974年、バングラデシュ、クルナ生まれ。現在はニューヨークで活動中。ダッカ大学卒業。2003年、ライクスアカデミー・ヴァン・ベールデンデ・クンステンのリサーチプログラムに参加するため、アムステルダムに滞在。その後、多摩美術大学大学院修士課程（2007年）、東京藝術大学大学院博士課程（2011年）を卒業し、9年間東京に滞在。2011年、ACCフェローシップを受け、ISCP（International Studio and Curatorial Program, New York）に参加。主な展覧会に、第11回カイロ・ビエンナーレ（2008年）、大地の芸術祭 越後妻有アートトリエンナーレ（2006年、2009年）、あいちトリエンナーレ（2010年）、など。日本では、オオタファインアーツが代理店を務め、国際的に活躍するアーティストである。
