When flavoring teas such as Earl Grey, we use only natural ingredients such as essential oils, herbs, and spices. Desserts
We source our scones and carrot cake from “STILL LIFE” in Nagoya (Aichi), and our pound cake from “ENNISMORE GARDENS” in Daikanyama (Tokyo).
This carrot cake features a batter made with pesticide-free carrots and no butter, sandwiched with mascarpone cream. Since the mascarpone cheese is used both inside the cake and on the surface, the cake isn’t too rich, and the spicy flavor and cheesy taste are perfectly balanced.
Our pound cakes are made without any baking powder (leavening agent), and we use only sanon sugar to achieve a mild sweetness. Since we use ingredients that vary by season, we also offer limited-time pound cakes.
Made with carefully selected ingredients and crafted with care, these desserts are both healthy and absolutely delicious.

Furniture

Kaare Klint / Kaare Klint
Faaborg Chair (Variation Model) / Faaborg Chair (Variation Model)
The Fårbo Chair was designed in 1914 for the Fårbo Art Museum, located in a port town in southern Fyn, to allow visitors to comfortably view the paintings. It is believed that the design was inspired by the Chrysomos Chair—a type of chair seen in ancient Greek architectural reliefs—with the aim of harmonizing with the museum’s surroundings. The frame is made of mahogany.

The checkerboard pattern in the center of the table is modeled after a chessboard, with scenes of bird life depicted around it. The mosaic is made of natural stone rather than tiles, and the diverse textures inherent in the stone are effectively incorporated into the design. Kai Shimhei was an artist who expressed himself through a variety of media, including stone mosaics such as this one, as well as woodblock prints reminiscent of ukiyo-e and thickly applied oil paintings. The frame was crafted by the renowned “Rud Rasmussen Workshop” using Cuban mahogany and ebony—woods often referred to as “legendary.” Cuban mahogany was once used for high-end furniture, but it is now a rare wood whose supply was depleted in the 20th century, making it virtually unavailable on the market.

PH1/1 Bedside Lamp / PH1/1 Bedside Table Lamp
”The ”Bedside” table lamp was made in the 1930s. The shade is made of amber glass, the frame is bronze, and the socket holder is Bakelite—all in their original condition. The amber-colored glass shade, with a glossy exterior and a matte interior, creates a perfect balance between the glare-free downward direct light and the upward indirect light that filters through the shade, casting a pleasant ambiance throughout the room.

Garrard Model 301 / Garrard Model 301
This turntable features a powerful, large-sized induction motor, a proprietary suspension mechanism that reduces vibration, a speed-adjustment mechanism using an eddy-current brake, and a die-cast aluminum platter that has been meticulously dynamically balanced. It boasts not only high performance but also a sophisticated design, which has earned it enduring popularity.

Marantz / Marantz
Model 8 / Model 8
The Marantz Model 8 was introduced in 1959 as Marantz’s first stereo power amplifier. Its circuit configuration was identical to that of the Model 5 monaural power amplifier; it was essentially a stereo power amplifier created by housing two Model 5 units within a single chassis. The power supply circuit was modified from the GZ34 to a double-voltage rectifier circuit using diodes connected in series; accordingly, the oil capacitors were eliminated, and the input smoothing circuit was replaced with high-capacity electrolytic capacitors.

Marantz / Marantz
Model 7 / Model 7
The Marantz Model 7 is a control amplifier released by Marantz in late 1958; it represented a breakthrough in technology, sound quality, and design at the time. This coincided with the period when stereo records were just beginning to gain popularity, and the unit gained a following as a groundbreaking control amplifier offering exceptional sound quality. This beautiful, high-fidelity preamplifier garnered tremendous acclaim, and it is said to have sold over 130,000 units over a 12-year period.

JBL / JBL
Hartsfield / Hartsfield
This large floor-standing system features a corner-type enclosure incorporating a complex, winding horn structure; the mid-to-high-frequency horn has a complex folded design and is equipped with a large, golden-hued acoustic lens known as the “Gold Wing.” The Heartsfield was highly acclaimed as the first professional-quality audio system available to the general public and was praised by LIFE magazine as the “ultimate dream speaker,” superior to any other speaker on the market.

Tableware

ROYAL COPENHAGEN / Royal Copenhagen
Blue Fluted Plain Plate / Blue Fluted Plain Plate
Blue Fluted Plain Coffee Cup and Saucer / Blue Fluted Plain Coffee Cup & Saucer
Blue Fluted Plain Jug / Blue Fluted Plain Jug
Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 as the “Royal Danish Porcelain Manufactory” with the aim of producing porcelain for the royal household and as gifts for the royal families of other nations with whom Denmark maintained close ties. Delicate lacework, unique patterns created through highly skilled hand-painting, and the distinctive blue known as “Copenhagen Blue”—all of these are passed down through craftsmanship that upholds tradition and pride. Blue Fluted is the first tableware collection produced when Royal Copenhagen’s workshops first opened their kilns. “Fluted” refers to vertical stripes. Depending on the finish of the rim, there are three variations of Blue Fluted. The series primarily used at the Lurf MUSEUM is the unadorned version, known as “Plain.” Its appeal lies in its cool, soft hues that appear as if shrouded in mist.
