LURF GALLERY is pleased to announce our participation in Art Fair Tokyo 2026 to be held at the Tokyo International Forum. The fair will feature new works by five artists active in Japan and abroad: Shinpei Arima, Oscar Oiwa, Isshin Tanizaki, Iori Nagashima, and Shinpei Yoshida. Shinpei Arima (b. 1979, Saga, Japan) will present works that connect the viewer's imagination to the memories of time and nature carved in the annual rings of wood through the tactile qualities of the materials. Oscar Oiwa (born in 1965 in São Paulo, Brazil) Oiwa Oscar (born in 1965 in Sao Paulo, Brazil) presents paintings that construct an imaginary narrative of social and environmental issues, starting from his own memories. Isshin Tanizaki (1974 (b. 1974, Fukuoka, Japan) depicts the imagination that opens from the memory of nature and landscapes to the starting point of life. Iori Nagashima (b. 1997 (b. 1997, Osaka) explores the temporality and position of existence between things and people, starting from the memories of everyday life. Shinpei Yoshida (b. 1992, Nara) overlaps the experiences of others and himself through the medium of photographic memory.
