LURF GALLERY opened in Daikanyama in 2022 to discover and present artists who incisively express the hidden interior of contemporary daily life, while proposing a distinct current within today's art.
Engaging with the questions of human existence and social reality pursued by modern realism, and with the spiritual and structural inquiries deepened by modern abstraction, the gallery honors the continuum from modern to contemporary practice and highlights artists whose sensibilities keenly register the tenor of the present. Free from the constraints of nationality or career, and from an international perspective, we support artists who explore diverse yet essential forms of expression.
Through these activities, LURF GALLERY aims to introduce a universal artistic flow that reflects contemporary society.
