From above the city, everyday life dissolves into anonymous dots and lines, emerging as an abstract structure.
I position myself thousands of feet in the air, capturing cities in strict vertical compositions during the brief moments around sunset when natural and artificial lights blend.
Pressing the shutter from a violently shaking helicopter is a dialogue with uncontrollable chance, and I am drawn to the delicate balance between order and noise that appears within it.
My work is driven by the desire to preserve the rhythm of light and time in the city as "memories for the year 2100," and to pass those images forward into the future.
